some parts of a mosque owned by the Ahmadiyya Community in the province of Punjab, in south-eastern Pakistan, were destroyed on October 25. This is the most recent casualty led by the people who are against the small Muslim minority in Pakistan.
Mohammad Tayyab, the Assistant Commissioner of Hasilpur, was the one leading the Friday operation in which they destroyed the Mosque’s Mihrab. The Police officers and officials from the local development authority, Baldia were accompanying him in this demolition.
Saleemuddin, the spokesperson for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Pakistan, confirmed this sad happening on behalf of the Ahmadiyya community. He said that without giving them any prior notice, the Local Government & Community Development authority destroyed some parts of the building. He further added that the Police wrongly charged those members of the Ahmadi community who were filming this illegal destruction.
