Islamabad: It is highly expected that tomorrow Pakistan and India will sign the agreement to open Kartarpur corridor. Once signed, this will enable the Sikh pilgrimages to visit the Kartarpur Gurdwara sahib without the need of any visa.
According to the details, the agreement to open the Krtarpur corridor will be signed tomorrow. This event of signing will take place at 12 in the afternoon at Kartarpur Zero point. The appointed focal persons of Pakistan and India will sign the agreement.
The diplomatic sources say that the appointed focal person for Pakistan is Dr. Faisal, the DG of East Asia for foreign affairs, whereas, Indian focal person is the Joint Home secretary of India.
The sources say that when the Kartarpur corridor opens, the Sikh Pilgrimages would be able to visit Darbar Sahib without a visa. They will just have to carry their passport to show their identity.
The Immigration office of Pakistan will issue a coded card to every individual pilgrimage. The pilgrimages will be allowed to come from 9 in the morning till 12 in the afternoon and they will have to go back before the sunset. The federal ministry gave permission for Kartarpur corridor yesterday.
Worth remembering is the thing that two days ago India agreed to the draft of Kartarpur corridor agreement by Pakistan and the Krtarpur corridor opening agreement was approved in India as they accepted the Pakistan’s decision to charge every pilgrimage with $20.
The Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said in an interview that they are very happy that India agreed, they congratulate the Sikh community from the depth of his heart and they welcome the Sikh community from all over the globe. They will take further steps in the coming days.
Keep in mind that Prime Minister Imran Khan in his message on social media said that they will open the Kartarpur corridor on 9 November and the Sikh community from India and all over the globe will be able to come and visit the biggest Gurdwara.
