Kalash tribe clashes with Muslims over forced conversion a girl towards Islam, several injured

Kalash tribe clashes with Muslims over forced conversion a girl towards Islam, several injured

Chitral ISLAMABAD; Kalash tribe has fallen in a dispute with local Muslim residents for making a Kalash girl Muslim by force.

Hundreds of Muslims conflicted and quarreled with members of Kalash tribe in Chitral on Thursday after a teenager demanded she was forced to change to Islam, police and residents said. Police interfered and fired tear gas on both sides to separate the sides.

A big gathering attacked on a house in the Kalash tribe’s valley of Bumburate in the northwestern district of Chitral, where the girl had gone to give a police statement about her conversion, said Kalash activist Luke Rehmat.

Kalash is a minority of Pakistan and there are only 4000 members of the community are living in the valley.

The teenager had “returned to her home saying embracing Islam was a mistake and she wanted to live with her family, which infuriated the Muslim community,” Rehmat said.

“The Kalash community had also gathered to save the family and when the Muslims chanting slogans attacked the house with sticks and pelted stones everybody was running for their lives,” Rehmat, who was out of breath from fleeing the scene, told news agency.

“Dozens” were injured, he said, though apparently none seriously.

“Law enforcement agencies reached here on time otherwise they would have killed all of us,” said local Kalash politician Imran Kabeer.

It was not clear what happened to the teenager.

Pakistan announces to build more gates and fences on Pak Afghan border

Pakistan announces to build more gates and fences on Pak Afghan border

Pakistan has declared to build more fences and gates on Pak Afghan border in order to stop the illegal transfer of good and terrorists.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif while briefing the upper house of parliament on Thursday said Islamabad wanted brotherly dealings with Kabul despite on-ground grievances.

“We have no dispute with Afghanistan,” he said. “The enemies of Pakistan do not want it to progress neither do they want it to live in peace with Afghanistan and they are playing an effective role in doing just that.”

Sartaj Aziz the secretary of foreign affairs said Afghanistan initiated unprovoked firing despite the border gate being constructed 31 metres inside the Pakistani border.

“Pakistan did not show aggression or instigated the Afghans in the first place. It was the other way round,” the adviser said, adding he had contacted the Afghan foreign minister and national security adviser to “sit together and remove the gaps in communication or any misunderstandings”.

He emphasized it was vital for both sides to resolve issues through dialogue. “These tensions are against the spirit of friendship between both the countries which share a common religion, cultural values and strong bonds between the people,” Aziz believed.

However in Senate, the defense minister believed problems with Kabul could be simply set with the return of the three million Afghan migrants living in Pakistan for nearly four decades. “If the refuges return, there will be no accusations on us of Quetta Shura or Haqqani Network,” he added.

“The environment is already vitiating,” the minister said. “If the Pak-Afghan border is sorted out and there are proper crossings, then neither of us will complain. Pakistan has had to pay a hefty price for Afghan refugees.”

Pak Afghan relations are tied due to India Afghan close relations says Hamid Karzai

Pak Afghan relations are tied due to India Afghan close relations says Hamid Karzai

KABUL: Former Afghan president Hamid Karzai has stated that Pakistan is mounting pressure on Afghanistan for being in good relations with India. Hamid said in a statement that Pakistan cannot bear the close relations of Afghanistan and India.

“India wants to truly befriend Afghanistan and we want Pakistan to do the same,” said the former Afghan president.

He said Pakistan should also become a part of the local alliance between Afghanistan, India and Iran, but “Pakistan’s condition is that Afghanistan should not have contacts with India.”

“If this issue is resolved, our relations with Pakistan will improve rapidly,” Karzai told BBC.

“When Pakistan came into being in 1947, they received it this way, so we are not blaming them but Durand Line is a blow which no Afghan can ever forget. We do not accept this border but will not fight over this issue,” said Karzai.

He stressed that Afghanistan is a sovereign country and is not taking dictation from any other country but “Pakistan government has taken some steps on Durand Line which are angering Afghans”.

“When this will stop, Pakistan too will see peace,” said Karzai, who ruled Afghanistan from 2004 to 2014.

Hamza Ali Abaasi reaction on social media over PEMRA ban

Maulana Kaukab Noorani reacts to Hamza Ali Abbasi and threats on TV to the Ahmadis

Hamza Ali Abbasi start to speak for the Ahmadis in his TV show threats and violent reaction is continues to flow from the different religious personalities.

On the show “Ishq-e-Ramadan” shown on June 15, 216 on Pakistan’s TV ONE, a famous Pakistani religious person Mr. Maulana Kaukab Noorani Okarvi not only warned Hmaza Ali Abbasi but also threated to the peaceful Ahmadi community in his statement with murder. Remember that famous host and actor Hamza Ali Abbasi raised the voice for the Ahmadi community in his TV show.

Mr. Abbasi had earlier raised the question of the rights of Ahmadis in Pakistan. Disturbed by Mr. Abbasi’s sympathy for Pakistan’s 5 million Ahmadis, Mr. Noorani said:

“.. the honor of this nation is very much alive… If law doesn’t take action, Muslims are ready to take action. It is law in the Pakistan Armed Forces that anyone who commits treason be shot dead at that very spot. If this is rule for an army, is my prophet not worth even this mush dignity? This (anti-Ahmadi laws & blasphemy laws) is a part of Pakistan’s constitution. How dare he (Hamza Ali Abbasi) speak about this issue… Our honor does not let us tolerate this crime. We are very peaceful people, but if someone dares say such things about the “finality of prophethood,” then remember that we are all soldiers in the army of Abu Bakr (ra). And we have no hesitation in this matter. Giving our life in this cause is the biggest honor for us… Everyone who remains silent on this issue is a criminal and is complicit…”

The government and PEMRA should take action against the violent statements that can destroy the peace and can become dangerous for Ahmadis in all over Pakistan.
